As a Nuyorican spoken word artist, social justice journalist, translator, language tutor and freedom fighter, I'm all about uplifting my beautiful people! My poetry confronts colonization, the patriarchy and systems of oppression. With Spanglish as a resistance tool, my poetic craft also speaks to cultural identity. Honoring my wondrous Indigenous Taino, Igneri as well as my rich African heritages, these always take center stage in my writing. My social justice journalism focuses on issues impacting the Puerto Rico population - whether diaspora-displace or on the Caribbean archipelago of Borikén.
