Course Description

Pulse & Pattern will walk you through the foundations of writing stories that grab the attention of readers, contest judges, and publishers. You will learn to: build the structure of your story, understand industry-standard plot structure, decide between dramatic action versus exposition, establish pace and rhythm, write compelling conflicts and characters, maximize emotional impact by alternating between different registers of your authentic voice, and stick the ending to your story.
