Junior Artist Crew

An online illustration workshop available to promising young artists, grades 5-8. In the upcoming Introduction to Character Design, young illustrators will create fictional characters within their favorite genres through the exploration of lines, shapes, style, and color. The summer course runs Fridays, 1:30-2:30pm EST from June 16 - July 21, 2023. Taught by Summer Greigh, digital artist, animator, and graduate of the International Academy of Film and Television, Hong Kong.

The Writing Block

The Writing Block is a six-week workshop designed to help writers complete short term writing projects (short stories, novel chapters, essays, poems, or scripts). It provides a safe space to gain writing tips, accountability for projects, and peer-to-peer feedback. The course runs once a quarter on Thursdays, 7-8:30pm EST (check dates).

Raising Multiracial Kids

Parents of multiracial children face a unique set of challenges that don't get covered in the average parenting course. Their kids are experiencing the world in a totally different light, bringing up difficult questions, isolating experiences, and complex realities that the parents likely never had to navigate before.

In this workshop we will discuss how parents can raise these incredible kids to embrace all of who they are and grow into healthy, grounded adults

Editor's Workshop

The Editor’s Workshop prepares authors and poets to advance their chances of placing as finalists and winners in upcoming writing contests and improves the quality of their work for submissions to any publication. In the course, students will become familiar with Kinsman Quarterly’s overall scoring system and receive a preliminary score along with tips on how to improve their individual pieces.
